Fulaflex FR is a fire rated hybrid polymer wall joint sealant

FulaFlex™ FR is a high performance, elastomeric and intumescent low-modulus fire resistant construction sealant for use in interior and exterior joint sealing applications. FulaFlex™ FR has +/-25% joint movement capability and has been tested with up to 4 hours rating in accordance with AS1530.4-2014 in joints from 10mm to 50mm wide.

Key Benefits

  • Fire rating for wall joints 10 - 50mm wide
  • Up to 4 hour fire rating (AS1530.4)
  • Excellent flexibility; ±25%, UV stability and weather resistance
  • For interior/exterior use
  • Paintable
  • Can be applied to damp surfaces
  • Solvent and isocyanate free
  • Water and acrylic free

Due to variations in fire rating results using different thicknesses and types of substrates consult fire test reports for specific tested FRL's.

Do not apply to wet surfaces

Fulaflex FR is not suitable for use in water retaining structures or where pooling of water may occur.

In many regions applicators of fire rated sealants require certificaton or licenses - check with local authorities to ensure compliance.

Not for use in water retaining structures unless in conjunction with waterproofing membranes.

Fulaflex FR should not be applied to frost bearing surfaces or if temperature will fall below 0°C prior to the sealant fully curing.

When painted with oxidative drying paints disturbances in the drying of the paint may occur.

Because of the diversity of paints available it is recommended to complete a compatibilty test before application.

Do not attempt to finish/tool the sealant in a joint using the chemicals used for clean up (toluene, xylene, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone and mineral turpentine) as they will irreversibly affect the sealant. Only use those chemicals to clean up uncured sealant from tools and equipment.

Not for use in joints contaminated with oil, grease, wax, dust, corrosion, tar, asphalt, loose aggregate, frost, dampness, form releasing agents or other such coatings/impregnations.

Not reccommended for use on bituminous surfaces or on materials tht bleed oils, plasticisers or solvents, as this will affect adhesion.
